Flathead Ed Breaks 25 Year Old State Record
On April 13, 2013 at 2:37 a.m., Flathead Ed caught a 76.52-pound flathead catfish on Bartlett Lake. With that, he claimed an Arizona record and the honor of having landed the biggest fish of any kind in state history. It was a 35-minute struggle. Flathead Ed’s record catch measured 53.5 inches and boasted a 34.75-inch girth.
